Café Café

I don’t what’s gotten into me but for some reason, I’ve been going around different cafés to try what they can offer. Maybe the I’ve been wanting to taste different kinds of coffee more? Or just the vibes that I’m getting when I’m inside one. And I can tell you, it’s not really that bad to go and chill there by yourself and spend some alone time but it also feels nice to have a few company to join you while you become comfortable there. Here are some of the cafés I recently visited. Take a look!

Palletplus Café

I think this is where the fun started! In this place, you’ll get pretty much comfortable anywhere you sit because they got pillows everywhere. Plus, match that with their giant teddy bears and you’ll probably get Instagram-worthy photos. Their food are really appetizing and the best part? They got large-cut fries that tastes absolutely delicious!

Cup & Saucer Café

This has got to be one of my favorite cafés. Going here is pretty much convenient to me and the food are all price-friendly. Aside from their, of course, delicious food, you’d be at super cozy with their tables since you basically sit on a square foam with your pillows and then you just enjoy your food in front of you. There are also toys and board games so you can kill time while you wait for your food. Plus, the staffs are very accommodating so you can really maximize your relax time in here.

Affogato House Inc.

The coffees in this café are worth the price! They taste amazing. But what I really like about this establishment is that, it has a really soothing feeling when you go here and relax because the atmosphere here is really nice and warm. If you wanted to clear your head about your works and deadlines then this shop right here is a must for you.

Gil & Mar Restaurant – Café

Now this is probably the largest café I’ve been to. Its got a lot of tables, a lot of people come and go, and a lot of good frappes you can order. The vibes are awesome. Their music relaxes your mind while you wait for food. The decorations are amazing and the setting is awesome. This place is an actual fit if you wanna bring someone here for a date because its really romantic and perfect for a table-for-two.

Camping (In Real Life)

Have you ever wondered while you’re on a forest hike, “What if I actually got lost along the way and get stuck here?” Well luckily, I got your back. All you have to know is the general idea of what to do to be able to survive in the wild, specifically, in the forest areas.

  • Rule #1: NEVER Panic
Okay, so basically, you are lost. You don’t know how you’re gonna go home. You don’t know where your companions are. You don’t know how long you’re gonna last. You don’t know this and that but that’s fine. If you start panicking, you’re decreasing your chance to survive there. Never panic. Keep your head cool and your thinking straight.

  • Rule #2: Your Safehaven

First thing’s first, find a suitable place for you  to build your new “home” that is clear from wild animal tracks (because you don’t want them lurking beside you while you sleep) and have a wide range of available resources nearby. When you are ready, bring out all tools and items that you think can be useful for creating your “tentage” such as ropes, knives, and machetes. If you have nothing, then you’re going to have to improvise. Sharp stones can be tied on strong pieces of wood to create your improvised axe and strong vines are a good substitute for ropes. Go find some good branches and ropes and try to tie up a small little hut that has enough space to take you in. Make sure to tie them properly so that it won’t go down easily. Tie extra clothing to your mini-hut so you a roof in case of rain. You can also use your shoelaces for parts that require less knot-tying.

  • Rule #3: Resources

The last thing you need is you dying out of starvation. What you’re going to do is that you find a place that has water whether it’s a river bank or a small pond. Water will be so useful for the rest of your survival. Before drinking water, you should really heat it up first so it can be a little safer. Then finding good food will be good. You can go hunt for some fruits if there are some in the trees. Maybe hunt small animals (Hey don’t be so choosy, you’re about to die there) or even try to fish for, err, fish. But who said food and water are the only resources you’re gonna need? Go find some good rope, branches for fire, and things that can substitute your clothing, you lazy punk.

  • Rule #4: Your Arsenal

Good equipment means good chance of survival! Try and create spears for hunting, rods for fishing, knives for cutting and chopping, and spiked branches for fencing purposes. You can create these things using soil, mud, water, clay, branches, wood, ropes, vines, and even little pieces of clothing. Get creative! You’re also gonna need a fire. Make sure you know how to create one! You can do so by creating friction using phosphorous stones, dried branches (This takes a while), or simply use a lighter or matchsticks, that’ll do the job. Create your fence using carved branches so that you can set up a perimeter around your place. You can use rope for added security by tying them to each other around your place.

  • Rule #5: Survive

Well then, you’re actually good to go! You just either wait there ‘til someone gets you, or survive and wait until the day of your death. But that’s a little awkward, right? Try making an SOS signal using the smoke from your fireplace by swiping cloth in it then removing it. That way, you’ll create series of smoke and if anyone who knows Morse Code will recognize that smoke, then you get ready because help is on its way.

La Isla Fortune

Vacation is coming and you really don’t want to spend your time just lurking in your bed and taking naps all day, do you? Of course we all want to use our precious moment of summer as exciting as possible. And what else could be more fun than going for a beach trip. And I know one island that will surely give you your relaxing needs. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you, Fortune Island!

Why the Fortune Island?

There are a lot of things that you can do at Fortune Island! First of all, for all of you people who are really into Social Media, this is the perfect time and opportunity for you to take amazing and stunning photos with the white sand in the beaches, the clear water, the different cave-like formations of the rocks, and the highlight of them all, the Greek pillars and statues on the edge of the island overlooking the sea.

You can also go ride on banana boats which makes your adventure more thrilling. You can go horse-riding in the sandy beach along with your family and friends. Who knows? You might be able to befriend the horses there.

Another thing you can do there is go camping. Since a 1-day trip on the island won’t really do much, then how about we take it up a notch and go camping. Sleeping underneath the moonlight and the stars really gives you that cozy feeling along with that chilly evening breeze. You can go tell scary stories with your mates or just take a little night walk around the island to refresh your heads.

And last but not the least, swimming! Of course the package won’t be complete without you getting to swim. The island actually has a “Swim at your own risk.” rule so you’ll be all responsible for what happens. But don’t worry, there are tons of other people in there and will (probably) try to help if something ever did happen. You could go diving with the high, natural-formed cliffs in the sides of the island. Or you could just go and take a regular swimming at the beach and collect some little seashells along the way. Pro tip: You’ll be swimming with the friendly fishes. Yey!

So what are you waiting for? Fortune Island in Nasugbu, Batangas is waiting for you!
